I hope it's true I know that the NW Miramichi is usually a early run for bright fish but maybe the MSW is early this year.

Those Rocky Brook FAT FOOTBALL FISH are on the way this week - I'm sure of my guesstimate and never hooked a fish that reminded me of a pitbull on steroids like that one from the Rocky Brook run.
Had him up to the boat 5 or 6 times before the last run away what went like this...ZZZIIINNNNGGGGGGGGGG BANG BANG BANG gone! Not sure who hooked who there but I want a nuther one.

What area of the river were you fishing? What did you hook him on?

Hi Mr. Beach, I was harling at Doaktown with a green machine. Maybe I spelled "harling" wrong, but it is criss-crossing the river with your boat - slipping down river a few feet each pass with 75' of line out...the fly stays well down river from the boat and makes a nice big swing each time you reverse direction. Not that I know what I'm talking about but someone told me about this technique and it works like a charm in higher water when you can't wade. Sort of like "hollywood hunting" from your truck - it's a lazy man's sport. I also heard a rumor there's fish up the Dungarvin now.
